Jan. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Ibrahim Turhan, a deputy governor of Turkey’s central bank, was appointed head of the Istanbul Stock Exchange, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette today.
Turhan was named deputy governor in 2008, according to his biography on the central bank web page.
Turhan replaces the outgoing head of the exchange, Huseyin Erkan.
