Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Fondiaria-Sai SpA may merge with its holding company Premafin Finanziaria SpA, and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario SpA, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported, without saying where it obtained the information.
Investors may buy shares in a capital increase of more than 1 billion euros ($1.3 billion,) according to the newspaper. Clessidra SGR SpA, an Italian private-equity fund, is ready to invest 200 million euros, Sole reported.
Assets, including Unipol Banca, may be sold after a merger, the newspaper reported.
