Poland’s WIG20 Index fell 0.4 percent, the Czech PX Index gained 1.3 percent and Hungary’s BUX Index declined 0.8 percent.
Grupa Kety SA (KTY PW): Poland’s biggest aluminum products maker foresees fourth-quarter net income of 22 million zloty ($6.5 million) and sales of 385 million zloty, it said in a regulatory statement late yesterday. Kety rose 2.3 percent to 100 zloty.
Netia SA (NET PW): Poland’s second-largest fixed-line phone company forecasts sales growth of less than 10 percent and investments amounting to 15 percent of revenue in 2012, Chief Executive Officer Miroslaw Godlewski told Parkiet today. Netia rose 3.1 percent to 5.26 zloty.
Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (PGE PW): Poland’s largest utility settled a dispute with power equipment maker Alstom SA over compensation for a delay in construction of an 858-megawatt unit in Belchatow, the Polish company said in an e-mail late yesterday. PGE fell 1.2 percent to 20.7 zloty.
