Dec. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Exxon Mobil Corp. sold fuel oil for 2012 by tender to Trafigura Beheer BV and Total SA, Dow Jones reported, citing an unidentified trader.
Exxon sold as many as 12 cargoes through the year, or as much as 60,000 metric tons a month, to Trafigura from its Fawley refinery in the U.K., the newswire said today. Emma Heywood, an Exxon spokeswoman based at Leatherhead in Surrey, England, couldn’t immediately comment on the tender when contacted by Bloomberg News.
The company also sold as much as 1.2 million tons of the low sulfur grade to Total from its Slagen facility in Norway, the newswire reported yesterday. Erik Hauge, an Exxon spokesman based in Oslo, confirmed by phone yesterday a tender had been awarded, without giving details.
