Dec. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Dec. 16 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 26.2 billion yen ($335.6 million) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 60.1 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 29.8 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 63.6 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 278.8 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 210.6 billion yen in stocks, and bought 2661.5 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 2729.8 billion yen.
