Dec. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Giampiero Maioli, chief executive officer of Credit Agricole SA’s Italian unit, Cariparma, is among five candidates running for the top job at Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl, Il Sole 24 Ore reported, without saying how it obtained the information.
Piero Montani, CEO of Banca del Sud, Gianemilio Osculati and Giuseppe Castagna, managers at Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, and Banco Popolare SC’s Maurizio Di Maio are the other candidates, Il Sole said.
The Milan-based bank is seeking to fill a new CEO position created after it changed its governance in September.
