Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Poland’s Treasury Ministry plans to dismiss Herbert Wirth as the chief executive officer of KGHM Polska Miedz SA, the state-controlled copper producer, Puls Biznesu reported, without citing anyone or giving more detail.
Wirth was to be dismissed last week, according to the newspaper, but Treasury Ministry did not want to affect the company’s share price after the details of new mining tax and KGHM’s takeover plans were revealed.
Calls placed to KGHM and the Treasury Ministry out of office hours went unanswered.
