EON Job Cuts Will Save ‘Thousands’ Others, Teyssen Tells FAS

Dec. 18 (Bloomberg) -- EON AG’s plan to cut as many as 11,000 jobs are necessary to save “thousands” of other positions, Chief Executive Officer Johannes Teyssen told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper.

The job cuts are aimed at making Germany’s biggest utility “agile and competitive,” Teyssen told the newspaper.
