Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index fell 0.4 percent to 51,665.78 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Istanbul, increasing this week’s decline to 4 percent.
The following stocks were active on the Turkish stock market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Akfen Holding AS (AKFEN TI), a Turkish group with interests in construction, energy, tourism and port operations, rose for a second day, climbing 2.3 percent to 8 liras. Six companies, including Aeroports de Paris, are interested in buying shares in TAV Havalimanlari Holding AS (TAVHL TI), Turkey’s biggest airport operator whose owners Akfen and Tepe Insaat Sanayi AS hired Credit Suisse Group AG in September for a possible stake sale, Vatan newspaper reported, without citing anyone.
TAV Havalimanlari jumped 4.7 percent to 8.02 liras.
Finansbank AS (FINBN TI), owned by National Bank of Greece SA, surged 13 percent to 4.58 liras, the highest level since Oct. 28, after the Macedonian Information Agency said NBG will sell a stake.
Turk Traktor & Ziraat Makineleri AS (TTRAK TI), a Turkish tractor maker, jumped 2.2 percent to 31.90 liras, the highest level in more than a month. The bourse will add Turk Traktor to the index of the top 30 companies from Jan. 1, as part of quarterly changes in the indexes.
