Schaeuble May Re-Open Budget Mid-2012 for ESM Costs, Bild Says

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble may amend next year’s budget by July to accommodate costs of at least 4.3 billion euros ($5.6 billion) for bringing forward the European Stability Mechanism, Bild-Zeitung reported.

The ministry plans to present the draft supplement by mid-year, when the government will have a better overview of budgetary developments, the newspaper reported, citing Christian Democrat lawmaker Norbert Brackmann.
