Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- An elevator accident killed one woman and injured two other people at a 25-story building at 285 Madison Avenue in New York, near East 40th Street, NBC New York reported.
The elevator began moving without its doors closing while the woman was stepping on board, according to NBC New York. The elevator fell two floors, the New York Times reported, citing the fire department.
The building houses businesses including Young & Rubicam, according to the reports.
