Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Dec. 9 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 403.5 billion yen ($5.2 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 32.9 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 65.1 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 305.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 50.3 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 303.9 billion yen in stocks, and bought 932.4 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 678.8 billion yen.
