German Parliament Refuses to Talk With Weidmann on IMF, FTD Says

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann was refused a meeting with the German parliament’s budget committee to discuss boosting contributions to the International Monetary Fund, Financial Times Deutschland reported without saying where it got the information.

The government put pressure on the committee not to meet with Weidmann, who had called on parliament to share responsibility for agreeing to an increase of up to 45 billion euro ($58.4 billion) in IMF contributions, the newspaper said.
