Dec. 13 (Bloomberg) -- The European Investment Fund signed an agreement with Unicredit SpA’s Romanian unit to offer 87.5 million euros ($116 million) in loan guarantees to small-and medium-sized companies, according to an e-mailed statement.
The fund’s guarantees will allow Unicredit Tiriac Bank SA to extend SME lending in Romania over the next two years, the bank said in the statement. The European investment fund is a unit of the European Investment Bank.
