Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA reported a fire at its Pasadena refinery near Houston, according to a message left on a recorded hotline.
There were two explosions at the plant late yesterday, according to a report on KTRK-TV Houston’s website, citing unidentified investigators. The fire occurred in the plant’s coker unit, it said.
The refinery has a capacity of 106,500 barrels a day, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The plant has coking capacity of 12,500 barrels a day.
