Dec. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Spreadtrum Communications Inc., a Chinese mobile-phone chipmaker, surged the most in two months in New York after saying revenue may exceed forecasts.
Spreadtrum American depositary receipts gained 7.6 percent to $22.30 at 9:47 a.m. in New York after earlier soaring as much as 8.5 percent, the most intraday since Oct. 4. Spreadtrum, based in Shanghai, said in a statement today it is “on track to meet or exceed” its fourth-quarter revenue forecast of $188 million to $194 million.
