Dec. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Dec. 2 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 261.1 billion yen ($3.4 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 89.9 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 150.3 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 200.7 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 222.4 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 59 billion yen in stocks, and bought 314.9 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 151.5 billion yen.
