Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s refined sugar output rose 43 percent to 2.13 million metric tons from September to Dec. 2, compared with the same period a year earlier, said Ukrtsukor, the country’s association of sugar producers.
Refiners processed 16 million tons of sugar beet compared with 12.8 million tons in the same period a year earlier, Ukrtsukor said in e-mailed statement today. The sugar beet harvest was 19.5 million tons as of Dec. 2, it said.
