Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index added 1.8 percent to 54,769.25 at the close in Istanbul, extending this week’s gains to 7.2 percent.

Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (ECZYT TI), an investment holding company that acquires interests in Eczacibasi group companies, gained 2.2 percent to 4.56 liras after the group said its application to set up a bank in Turkey was being assessed by the regulator.
Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi & Ticaret AS (KRDMD TI), a Turkish steelmaker, added 2.6 percent to 79 kurus after saying it got a $64 million loan to finance a furnace investment.
Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (NETAS TI), a telecommunications firm, rose 2.4 percent to 127 liras after saying it got a $12 million contract from Aselsannet in Turkey.
Vestel Elektronik Sanayi & Ticaret AS (VESTL TI), a manufacturer of electronic appliances, gained 3.2 percent to 1.94 liras after saying it gave the lowest bid, 339.6 million liras ($186.1 million), in a government auction to provide interactive boards for classrooms.
