Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- The Baltimore Ravens’ 16-6 victory against the San Francisco 49ers last night was the most-watched game in the history of NFL Network, the National Football League said today in a release citing Nielsen Holdings NV figures.

An average of 10.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the game, won by the Ravens and coach John Harbaugh against his younger brother, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, according to the release. It was the most-watched game in the eight-year history of the network and the most-watched cable program ever on the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, according to the release.

The second-most-watched game on the NFL-owned network was a December 2009 matchup between the unbeaten New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys, seen by 10.5 million viewers. Viewership for last night’s game was 50 percent higher than ratings for the network’s 2010 Thanksgiving game, when 7.1 million people watched the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals. That ranks as the No. 2 all-time cable program on the holiday, according to the network statement.
