Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.
The SET Index rose 0.4 percent to 980.50.
Bangkok Bank Pcl (BBL TB), Thailand’s biggest lender, gained 2.2 percent to 142 baht, the highest level since Nov. 16. The bank expects lending to grow 6 percent to 8 percent next year in line with economic growth, Chairman Kosit Panpiemras said yesterday.
Khonburi Sugar Pcl (KBS TB), a sugar producer, lost 1.9 percent to 10.4 baht, the first decline in three days. Raw sugar for March delivery in New York fell 1.5 percent yesterday, adding to the previous day’s 2.7 percent slump.
Thai Rayon Pcl (TR TB), a chemical producer, dropped 3.2 percent to 75 baht, extending yesterday’s 8.8 slide. Profit for the year ended Sept. 30 fell 6.9 percent to 2.83 billion baht ($90.5 million), Thai Rayon said yesterday.
