Seaway Pipeline to Take Some Spot Deliveries After Reversal

Enterprise Products Partners LP said spot deliveries will make up a portion of the initial volumes on the Seaway pipeline after the line is reversed.

Shippers who committed to capacity on Enterprise’s proposed Wrangler pipeline project “will have some level of access” on the initial 150,000 barrels of daily capacity available on the pipeline starting in the second quarter of 2012, said Rick Rainey, a company spokesman based in Houston.

The reversal of Seaway, which connects the storage hub of Cushing, Oklahoma, to Houston and refineries on the Gulf Coast, is replacing the plans to build Wrangler, Rainey said Nov. 16.

Rainey said today he didn’t know what portion of the reversed Seaway’s capacity would be available for spot deliveries.
