Malaysia Stocks: Evergreen, IOI Corp, Masterskill, Media Prima

Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Malaysia trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Kuala Lumpur.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index fell for a fifth day, declining 1.4 percent to 1,434.08, the lowest close since Oct. Oct. 12.

Evergreen Fibreboard Bhd. (EVF MK), a Malaysian panel-board maker, rose 2.3 percent to 89.5 sen, the largest jump since Oct. 25. Net income in the third quarter climbed 24 percent to 24.1 million ringgit ($7.6 million).

IOI Corp. (IOI MK), Malaysia’s second-biggest palm oil planter by market value, declined 1.8 percent to 4.97 ringgit, the lowest close since Oct. 11. Profit in the first quarter dropped 48 percent to 258.1 million ringgit.

Masterskill Education Group Bhd. (MASEG MK), Malaysia’s largest operator of private nursing colleges, lost 3.3 percent to 1.16 ringgit, the lowest close since Oct. 21. Profit in the third quarter tumbled 79 percent to 5.55 million ringgit.

Media Prima (MPR MK), an investment holding company, dropped 1.9 percent to 2.55 ringgit. Net income in the third quarter fell 26 percent to 53.4 million ringgit.
