Christie Names Community Affairs Replacement as Grifa Steps Down

Governor Chris Christie named Rich Constable, a deputy labor commissioner, as an interim replacement for Community Affairs head Lori Grifa when she leaves on Jan. 2.

Grifa plans to resign as commissioner of the department that oversees local government policies, finances and bonding for 566 municipalities in addition to services such as fire safety. Christie, 49, a first-term Republican, announced the move today in Trenton.
