Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Tata Motors Ltd.’s Jaguar Land Rover is in talks with China’s Chery Automobile Co. to set up a venture to build vehicles in the Asian nation, the Sunday Times reported, without saying where it got the information.
The companies have applied for regulatory clearance to set up the partnership and aim to announce a deal by the end of April, the newspaper said. Jaguar’s consideration to manufacture in China was announced last year, Tata Motors said today by e-mail, declining to comment further.
