Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The share of Ukraine’s winter grain in good or satisfactory condition rose to 69.2 percent as of yesterday from 68.7 percent a week earlier, according to the country’s Agriculture Ministry.
That equates to about 4 million hectares (9.88 million acres), according to a statement today on the ministry’s website. Weak and thinned plants were on 1.76 million hectares, or 30.8 percent of the sprouted area, according to the statement.
The area of sprouted winter grains was unchanged from Nov. 10 at 5.7 million hectares. The share of sprouted winter rapeseed plants in good or satisfactory condition was little changed at 69.4 percent, the ministry said.
