Russian Commercial Farmers Increase Winter-Grain Sowing by 3.5%

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Larger commercial farmers in Russia raised sowing of winter grains by 3.5 percent from a year earlier as of Nov. 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said.

Cereals were planted on 10.8 million hectares (26.7 million acres), Rosstat, as the service is known, said in an e-mailed statement today. It gave no figures including smaller farms and private households.
