Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Germany plans to start a loan program to help companies explore for commodities including rare-earth raw materials outside the country, the Financial Times Deutschland reported, citing Bernhard Heitzer, deputy economy minister.
The European Commission is already looking into the loan program, Heitzer said, according to the newspaper. Companies would get access to loans they have to pay back only when exploration is successful, it said.
