Jumbo First-Quarter Profit Rises on Greek, Bulgarian Stores

Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Jumbo SA, Greece’s biggest toy retailer, said fiscal first-quarter profit rose almost 8 percent after the company opened additional stores in Bulgaria and Greece.

Net income advanced to 17.9 million euros ($24.2 million) in the three months to Sept. 30 from 16.6 million euros in the same period of 2010, according to an e-mailed statement from the Athens-based company today. Sales rose 3.5 percent to 120.6 million euros.
