Nov. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s sunflower harvest climbed 24 percent this year as yields increased, Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing the Agriculture Ministry.
The former Soviet state collected 8.8 million metric tons of sunflower seeds, compared with 7.1 million tons in 2010, according to the news service. Ukraine’s grain harvest jumped 31 percent to 54.06 million tons as of today, it said.
