Sweden’s Bildt Warns of Military Action Against Iran, Welt Says

Nov. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Sweden’s Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said any military action against Iran would be “highly counter-productive,” Germany’s Welt newspaper reported, citing an interview.

“Every military strike would not only be dangerous for the whole region, it would also be highly counter-productive because it would very likely animate Iran to obtain nuclear weapons,” the newspaper quoted Bildt as saying. “The aim of sanctions is to deliver our message that negotiations are urgently needed.”
