Emaar Economic City Allocates Land to Pfizer to Build Plant

Nov. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Emaar Economic City, the company developing the King Abdullah Economic City known as KAEC, said it allocated an area of 65,000 square meters to New York-based Pfizer Inc. to build a pharmaceutical plant in Jeddah.

The plant will be in KAEC’s Industrial Valley as Emaar Economic aims to attract global pharmaceutical companies to Saudi Arabia, the Jeddah-based company said today in a statement. Mars, Total, Sanofi-Aventis SA and Grief have started to set- up factories in the region, it said.
