Nov. 14 (Bloomberg) -- ArcelorMittal’s Ukrainian unit said steel production fell 5.9 percent in October from the same month a year ago as the mill continues to upgrade, necessitating the stopping of some equipment.
Output declined to 527,900 metric tons from 560,800 tons, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, based in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, said in an e-mailed statement today.
Steel production declined to 4.6 million tons in the first ten months of the year, from 5.09 million tons in the same period last year, according to the statement.
