Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok. The SET Index rose 0.1 percent to 968.30.
GMM Grammy Pcl (GRAMMY TB), a music producer, rose 5 percent to 16.9 baht, its biggest gain since Aug. 11 . The company said third-quarter profit jumped 77 percent to 182.6 million baht ($5.9 million).
Padaeng Industry Pcl (PDI TB), the nation’s biggest zinc producer, lost 0.8 percent to 12.30 baht. Zinc futures fell as much as 3.8 percent to $1,860.50 on the London Metal Exchange today, extending yesterday’s 3.3 percent loss.
Thai Vegetable Oil Pcl (TVO TB), the country’s biggest soybean supplier, fell 0.6 percent to 16.5 baht, dropping for a second day. Soybeans dropped to a one-month low after Italy’s borrowing costs surged, prompting investors to seek safer assets including the dollar and raising concern that food demand may slow.
