Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in China trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses as of the close in Shanghai.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks the bigger of China’s stock exchanges, rose 0.8 percent to 2,524.92. The CSI 300 Index gained 0.9 percent to 2,751.65.
Commodity producers: Jiangxi Copper Co. (600362 CH) increased 1.5 percent to 28.32 yuan. Petrochina Co. (601857 CH) advanced 0.6 percent to 10.19 yuan. Crude oil for December delivery gained for a sixth day, adding as much as 0.5 percent to $97.32 a barrel in New York.
China United Network Communications Ltd. (600050 CH) slid 2.8 percent to 5.47 yuan, the most since Sept. 26, after China Central Television reported the government may fine China Unicom and China Telecom “billions of yuan” if an anti-monopoly probe found they had breached laws.
