India’s Sensex Climbs For Third Day; ONGC, State Bank Lead Gains

Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Indian stocks advanced for the third day. The BSE India Sensitive Index, or Sensex, rose 0.2 percent to 17,599.12 at 2:37 p.m. in Mumbai. The gauge lost as much as 0.6 percent earlier.

Oil & Natural Gas Corp., the nation’s biggest state energy explorer, advanced the most in two weeks after reporting record quarterly earnings. State Bank of India, the largest lender, surged 1.7 percent.
