Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- The New England Patriots released defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, the Boston Herald reported.

Haynesworth, 30, was acquired from Washington in July. He had clashed with Redskins coach Mike Shanahan last year, and was suspended for the final month of the National Football League season.
