Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Manchester City said Kolo Toure has received a six-week fine from the soccer club for failing a drug test, a sanction the Ivory Coast defender has accepted.
The club now wish to draw a line under this matter and focus on the season ahead,’’ Manchester City said in a statement on its website.
Toure, 30, was in May handed a six-month ban by the Football Association, backdated to March 2, for taking a prohibited substance. The player said he’d taken tablets belonging to his wife to control his weight.
