Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok.
The SET Index rose 2.9 percent to 983.44, halting a three-day slide.
Advanced Information Technology Pcl (AIT TB), a Thai provider of computer services, climbed 5.6 percent to 47.50 baht, the largest increase since Oct. 15, 2010. Net income in the third quarter more than doubled to 128.8 million baht ($4.2 million).
Tata Steel (Thailand) Pcl (TSTH TB), a unit of Tata Steel Ltd., declined 2.5 percent to 0.79 baht, the biggest decline since Oct. 20. The company’s net loss in the quarter ended Sept. 30 widened to 398.9 million baht, from 208.4 million baht in the same period last year.
Thai Oil Pcl (TOP TB), Thailand’s biggest oil refiner by total capacity, gained 6.8 percent to 58.75 baht, the biggest gain since Sept. 27. Net income in the third quarter climbed 8.4 percent to 2.52 billion baht.
