Fannie Mae Seeks $7.8 Billion in U.S. Aid After Reporting Loss

Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Fannie Mae, the mortgage-finance company operating under U.S. conservatorship, will seek $7.8 billion in Treasury Department aid to balance its books after reporting a third-quarter loss.

The Washington-based company reported the results in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing today.
