Estonia Cabinet Plans to Cut Labor Taxes in 2012, Postimees Says

Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Estonian government plans to reduce the unemployment insurance tax rate in 2012, a year earlier than scheduled, Postimees reported, citing a draft document it obtained.

The tax rate would decline to 3 percent from 4.2 percent, the newspaper said. The employer’s contribution would fall to one percent of an employee’s wage from 1.4 percent, while the employee’s share would decline to 2 percent from 2.8 percent, it said.
