Nov. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Wigan defender Antolin Alcaraz was charged with spitting at Wolverhampton’s Richard Stearman during yesterday’s 3-1 defeat at Wolves, the Football Association said.
Video showed the the Paraguayan national team player spitting at the opponent, the F.A. said. The incident wasn’t seen by referees.
The player has until 6 p.m. tomorrow to respond to the charge, and would get an automatic three-match suspension if he admits the charge, the F.A. said.
