U.S. September Philadelphia Fed Leading Economic Index

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- A gauge of future economic activity for the U.S. rose in Sept., according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

The bank’s forecast of economic activity rose 1.4 percent percent in Sept. after rising 1.7 percent the previous month. The bank reports a leading index for all 50 states.

NOTE: The leading index is a forecast of the six-month change in the state’s coincident index. The index also uses state-level housing permits data, state initial unemployment insurance claims, ISM delivery times, and the interest rate spread between the 10 YR Treasury bond and the 3 MO T Bill.
