Italian President Says Opposition Ready to Act Responsibly

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Italian President Giorgio Napolitano said opposition leaders indicated they are ready to act responsibly to help stem the effects of the sovereign debt crisis on the country.

“Representatives of opposition groups have demonstrated their readiness to assume the necessary responsibilities in regard to the worsening of the crisis,” the president’s office in Rome said in an e-mailed statement this evening.
