Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Oct. 21 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 1020.2 billion yen ($13.4 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 21 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 23.6 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 975.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 499.1 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 41.7 billion yen in stocks, and sold 304.4 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 845.1 billion yen.
