Thailand Equity Movers: Demco, PTT, Siam Cement, Univentures

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok.

The SET Index fell 0.4 percent to 938.68, the first decline in three days.

Demco Pcl (DEMCO TB), a contractor for electricity and telecommunication systems, gained 3.9 percent to 3.2 baht, the largest increase since Nov. 30. The company has moved its headquarters from a flooded area and is operating normally, it said in a statement to the stock exchange.

PTT Pcl (PTT TB), Thailand’s biggest energy company, declined 1.4 percent to 293 baht, the first drop in three days. The company suspended operations at 8 percent of its gas stations in the country because of flooding, it said in a regulatory filing.

Siam Cement Pcl (SCC TB), the nation’s fifth-largest publicly traded company by market value, climbed 2 percent to 312 baht. Net income in the third quarter climbed 12 percent to 7.38 billion baht ($239 million), or 6.15 baht per share, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Univentures Pcl (UV TB), a zinc oxide producer and property developer, decreased 1 percent to 2.06 baht. The company has closed a plant in Pathum Thani province since Oct. 22 because of flooding, it said in a regulatory filing.
