Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Inspectors at the Bank of Spain criticized the regulator’s management after supervisors’ reports on banks were toned down by their superiors, El Economista said, citing a statement from the inspectors.
A spokesman at the Bank of Spain had no comment on the report. Banking supervision is the result of team-work and follows strict technical criteria, said the spokesman, who declined to be named in line with policy.
