Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Evonik Industries AG Chief Executive Officer Klaus Engel expects the German chemical industry to grow in 2011 even with an imminent economic slowdown, Deutsche Presseagentur reported, citing a statement.
He expects production to grow by 5 percent and sales by 10 percent, Engel said, according to the newswire. Engel is also president of the VCI, a business association with 1,600 member companies from the German chemical industry.
