Vietnam’s Equity Movers: FPT, Petrovietnam-Idico Long Son

Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 6.8 points, or 1.5 percent, to 447.57.

FPT Corp. (FPT VN), Vietnam’s biggest publicly traded telecommunications and software company, gained 0.9 percent to 53,500 dong. The company plans to pay its shareholders a dividend of 1,000 dong a share on Oct. 19, according to a company filing on the bourse’s website.

Petrovietnam-Idico Long Son Industrial Park Investment Joint-Stock Co. (PXL VN), a builder and developer of industrial parks, rose 3.5 percent to 5,900 dong. The company plans to buy back 1 million shares from Sept. 27 through Dec. 27, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
