Colombo Stock Exchange Halts Trading After ‘Hardware Breakdown’

Trading on Sri Lanka’s Colombo Stock Exchange was halted today after a “hardware breakdown,” Chief Executive Officer Surekha Sellahewa said in a telephone interview today.

It may take another two hours for the “system to be restored,” she said, without elaborating.

The benchmark Colombo All Share Index last traded at 6,886.88, up 0.2 percent, at 9:34 a.m., according to exchange data.
